The technologies utilized by RdF include wire-wound resistive or thin-film RTD elements, thermistors, patented foil and small wire StikonŽ thermocouples. Complimenting these sensor products are laminated etched foil heaters, Microfoil heat flux sensors, radiometers/calorimeters and fine etched foil resistive bridge networks.
Vishay Micro-Measurements resistance temperature sensors are constructed much like wide-temperature-range strain gages. Because of their extremely low thermal mass and the large bonded area, the sensors follow temperature changes in the structural mounting surface with negligible time lag and can measure surface temperatures from -452 to approximately +500° F (-269 to +260° C). Custom-designed heaters and heater/RTD combinations are also available. Honeywell's unique bimetal thermal switches have found applications from aerospace to down-hole oil rig operations. Modules are hermetically sealed with an all-welded construction and can be calibrated to +/-3 F. In addition to a wide range of standard configurations, switches can be supplied to meet custom requirements. |
