MicroStrain's inclinometers and orientation sensing modules combine micro electro mechanical sensors (MEMS) and smart embedded microcontrollers to create angle sensors with both static and dynamic response. MicroStrain's inclinometer product line was initially developed to measure angles of limbs to help re-animate the limbs of paralyzed individuals. The tiny, lightweight gyro-enhanced orientation modules that resulted from this effort found immediate acceptance for navigation & control of unmanned systems in military and exploratory robotics applications.
RDP's RCDT transducer measures the rotary position of its shaft, with respect to its body. The unit incorporates integral electronics so that both excitation and output can be VDC. The output ranges from 0.5 to 3.5V for the full-scale range. |
