Steve Katz, PT&MA’s founder and principal engineer, has an MS in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois. After project engineer positions in the oil and aerospace industries, he spent more than 25 years in the stress/strain measurement field (Measurements Group) beginning as an Applications Engineer and, ultimately, Sr. Vice-President responsible for worldwide technical support, training, marketing, sales and customer service. He has presented technical seminars and training programs in 26 countries as well as throughout the USA.
In 2002, Steve established Precision Test & Measurement Associates, LLC in The Woodlands, Texas, providing technical and commercial support for structural test and transducer applications incorporating strain gages and other physical measurement sensors and instrumentation in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
In 2008, Precision Test & Measurement Associates, LLC was re-established in North and South Carolina.
